He was born in 1947 in Silifke. He graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine in 1974 and fulfilled his compulsory service in Diyarbakır Kulp District and fulfilled his military service as a reserve officer in Konya Aksehir then worked as a government doctor in Afyon Çay district.

After completing his residency on bacteriology and infectious diseases at Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine, he started to work as an Infectious Diseases Specialist at Mersin State Hospital in 1981. During this period, he served as Deputy Chief Physician for a long time and Mersin Provincial Health Director for an additional 4 years.

After retiring in 2003, he worked at various private hospitals and finally, he has been working at Mersin Private Yenişehir Hospital for 5 years.
